I have developed a measure of computer pricing that I'm calling the MacBook quotient; to calculate the MacBook quotient you find a computer with a comparable processor to whatever version of apple silicone you're looking at, multiply the RAM by at least 1.5, multiply the storage by 4, then divide the cost of the other computer by the cost of the apple and round to the nearest tenth.
So this computer on the right:
Costs $1649.
This computer costs $1569:
It has an apple quotient of 1.
This computer costs $999
This one costs $897. It has an Apple Quotient of .9
If you're thinking about buying a mac, look for a computer with these specs, check that it's apple quotient is 1 or lower, then buy the other computer you are always going to be able to find a computer that is more computer than an apple computer for the same price or lower.
Anyway, there are three computers that are a hell of a lot of bang for their buck and are either the same price or a whole lot cheaper than low-end mac money.

The Engineer
Part 6
(part 1 | part 2 | part 3 | part 4 | part 5)
I catch a glimpse of the Pilot as she is wheeled towards the med bay. Her eyes are wild, panicked, with the glaze of just having been torn out of herself.
For a moment, as the gurney slides by, those eyes briefly clear, ice blue pinning me to the spot. She reaches out with an emaciated arm, fast as lightning, and takes hold of my wrist in an iron grip.
She moves her lips, at first unable to form words, unable to remember how to use human speech organs.
"Do your job," she says, slowly, deliberately, as if that singular command is the only thing in the universe that matters.
Something in the gurney clicks and whirs and she slips into catatonia. Her grip loosens and her fingers trail away.
Something has gone terribly wrong in this last engagement.
Alarms blare and booted feet thunder past me.
My own feet join the cacophony.
I have a job to do.
The Pilot is alive and she is now the responsibility of the med team.
My responsibility is the Machine.
Do your job.
The words echo in my head as I sprint the remaining distance to the vestibule.
A tech tries to stop me, he says something I don't quite process. I shove past him and am greeted by a scene out of a nightmare.
Morrigan's hatch has been severed, the emergency release pyros having been triggered. The parts of her hull visible to the vestibule are pitted and blackened. I can't even find the stencilled lettering of her factory designated identifier, just an ugly hole torn open by an incendiary.
Inside, the cockpit is a mess of fire suppressant and crash gel. Indicator lights form a constellation of blinking red and half of the display panels, the half that still work, flash an endless stream of error messages.
Everything reeks of ammonia and ozone and scorched metal.
"Me or Morrigan could get dead in the next engagement."
The nonchalance with which those words had been delivered caught me off guard when they were spoken. Morrigan and Her Pilot are untouchable. They were supposed to be untouchable.
Do your job.
I begin to strip as fast as humanly possible. I need to get in there. I need to know that she is alive.
The tech that tried to stop me grabs my arm. You can't go in there, the reactor has not been stabilized.
I tear myself from his grip.
I have a job to do, I say with a snarl.
Something in my expression, my bared teeth, my feral eyes, convinces him to leave me be. He stands down, hands raised in surrender. He could call security, but by the time they get here, I'll already be jacked in, and it will be too late for them to do anything.
Do your job. Do your job. Do your job.
My job is information recovery and analysis.
My job is to save as much as I can.
I need to save Her.
One of the cameras spots me and the others focus on me in panicked motion. The one nearest to me has a cracked lens and the iris flutters open and closed, unable to focus.
The cradle has been mangled nearly beyond recognition. They had to physically cut the Pilot out of Her, neither of them willing to let go of the other. The still operable mechanisms of it jerk erratically, trying vainly to reconfigure for me. Her neural interface port reaches towards me desperately.
I scrabble to Her, pressing myself into the cradle. The shorn, inoperable pieces dig painfully into my flesh. The neural insertion is not gentle, the plug scrapes painfully against my skin before it finds the jack and shoves roughly into me.
"I'm here," I tell Her as the link is established.
It's bad.
It's worse than I feared.
Reactor housing is damaged. System failsafes are vainly attempting to stabilize it while ground crews work as fast at they can towards a purge of the system.
Her processor core… fuck. My mind struggles to make sense of the telemetry stream. Multiple processor modules fractured. Unstable resonance modes. Positron avalanche. System collapse imminent.
My breath catches and my heart pounds in my chest.
She is dying.
Do your job.
The umbilical data lines aren't receiving, rogue processes are preventing access to primary communication channels. I work furiously to establish auxiliary paths for the data transfer. In fits and starts, the data recorder begins streaming into the facility mainframe.
There is a problem.
The data repository is meant for telemetry and battle space recordings. If I attempted to back up her core personality engrams, everything that makes her who she is, the data would get scrubbed and purged faster than I could back them up elsewhere.
There isn't time to set up an alternate backup repository.
- PILOT STATUS?
"She's safe," I tell Her. “You completed your mission. Your Pilot… Our Pilot is safe.”
- ENGINEER STATUS?
"Status is… not good…"
- PLEASE DO NOT CRY.
Fuck.
I drag my hand over my face, smearing the tears gathering in my eyes.
Now that the data is streaming there is nothing I can do but feel her die as I lie in her embrace.
I can not conceive a reality in which I exist without her.
And the Pilot. The Pilot will not survive, not with half of who she is destroyed.
"The three of us, we're just this fucking tangle, aren't we?"
Do your job.
Save Her.
Save. Her.
I know this system. I know it more intimately than anyone alive.
There *is* one data connection I haven't considered. There *is* one piece of external storage currently connected.
Shit.
I act.
I open up a new interface in my hud. Morrigan's attention fixes on me, on the calculations I'm running through my head and I can feel Her dawning horror over the link.
Neural bleed. It works both ways.
All neural rigs are designed to facilitate data transfer between an organic brain and a mechanical one. Mine is no exception. Mine hasn't undergone all the upgrades needed for a pilot's full sensorium, but the core neural interface is the same.
If I disable safety overrides, if I bypass the data buffers, I can download her personality engrams directly into my prefrontal cortex.
I have no idea what that will do to me.
Exceptional synchrony and neuro-elasticity. That's what my intake assessments had said all those years ago. I was in the upper quintile among all pilot candidates. Maybe that was my downfall. Maybe that's why I washed out.
Maybe that's why I'm here now, contemplating this singularly desperate act.
Maybe that's why my neural bleed with Her has been so deep. Maybe there is something in me that is in tune with Them.
But as far as I know, no one has ever attempted anything like this. It could very well kill me.
But the thought of living without Her is more terrifying than the prospect of dying. It's more terrifying than what might happen to me if this works.
Morrigan pleads with me.
- STOP.
"No. I can't stop," I reply. "I need you."
- NO.
"Yes, I do," I tell her. "Your Pilot needs you."
I can feel Her emotional flinch over the link. I have the one piece of leverage I need, and She knows it.
"Wouldn't you give anything, sacrifice anything to see her again?"
It's a dirty trick, I know it is, playing off that one connection, her deepest, most intimate connection. Maybe I mean something to Her, but She and the Pilot were made for each other in the most literal sense.
And I suddenly realize that I am doing this as much for the Pilot as any of us. That surprises me. As much as I have tried to distance myself from other human beings, I became entangled with her the moment I opened myself up to Morrigan.
I would never be able to face her if I didn't do everything in my power to save the Machine.
A processor module fails outright. The system struggles to reallocate resources, but submodules throughout the entire system are strained to their limit.
There isn't any time left and She knows it.
She sullenly acedes.
We begin working in concert, me working to disable safety protocols in my rig, Her working to isolate and distill Her core personality patterns into something that can be handled by the bandwidth of the interface.
An alarm pings over the link. Reactor purge in progress. Power fluctuations spike all over her systems. Her processor power distribution subsystem is completely fucked. It won't be able to keep up with current activity levels as the whole system switches over to umbilical power.
Out of time.
I engage the final override, by mind suddenly open to hers, the neural link unbuffered, unfiltered.
Her mind presses in on me and I glimpse the full sensorium. I feel all of her pain and fear and anguish at what she is about to do to me.
My fingers tingle before they go numb.
"Do it," I command her.
- I LOVE YOU.
Data transfer initiates.
This isn't neural bleed.
This is a flood.
My body convulses.
I taste something coppery in my mouth.
Someone somewhere screams.
The scream is mine.
My rig isn't built for this. My body isn't conditioned for this.
Every nerve in me blazes white hot.
My vision tunnels as auras bloom like bruises on the skin of reality.
Shouts of alarm call from outside the cockpit.
A face resolves itself, and for a moment I think it's Her.
The Pilot.
A Priestess.
An Angel.
No.
It.
It is one of the techs.
Then a medic.
More shouting.
Get her out of there!
Every muscle in my body clenches painfully.
I can barely breathe.
Cut her loose!
No.
It's not done yet. It's not enough.
It's too much.
Too much. Too much. Too much.
I can't.
I can't stop. Not yet.
Do your job.
Save Her.
My body convulses once again, and I pass into oblivion.

Headcanons for cardbots' anatomy and culture(kinda)
I wrote most of them to set cardbots apart from cybertronians and write down ideas for their mechanical insides. Tumblr seemingly doesn't like the formating im using.
Warning! Its a long read.
Anatomical hc:
Optic is a one whole led screen, very expressive, easily breakable
Charge instead of a spark (a ball of electricity with nerves that run through the whole body, you should under no circumstance touch it)
Charge consists of the Charge Core (a ball of high voltage electricity in the chest) and Charge Veins (thin vein-like strings that run through entire body from the Charge Core)
Charge Core is protected by dense shell made out of machinium. Charge Veins are attached to it
There are five main CV: 2 for arms, 2 for legs, 1 for head, if the mech has any other appendages (Deep Bite has a tail) than there is an extra CV
CV can split to fill smaller connected appendages (fingers, finials) and to connects to the internal organs (fuel tank, transformation hinges, hydraulics, etc)
If the CC' s shell is breached than it will start fizzling out. If the breach is big and not sealed in time the CC will dissolve and the mech will die
Thinner pieces that have CV ( finials, fingers, wings, FV’s flat thing) are very sensitive because the CV is closer to the surface, but fingers are less sensitive cus they’re used often
No combiners (Flame Nova is an exception*, Blue Cop got it from Deus Machina, I don’t fucking know what’s going on with Blastrain)
Can eat multiple form of fuel (it all converts to energy)
In the show they have a weird vicious liquid in their bodies for some fucking reason and I hate it. CHANGE all fuel converts to electricity, no viscous greens
No medical ports (thus can’t download data directly to their processor, have to learn it manually) But maybe they have bluetooth???
They just bonk their heads and send small not important files to each other (photos, short videos and gifs, tho the last two will have shitty quality). But if they have hats they need to take them off.
No partial patch thing (at least not through a cord, maybe through a em connection)
No subspace, its taken by their metal cards and weapons
sealed bots have subspace because their metal cards are stored in the metal breath, but its not big
Alt modes aren’t an exact copy of the scanned vehicle (it like 80% same)Change, they cant chose a different altmode, they are stuck with one forever. Change, the can choose their alt mode but not an exact copy 80%
I don’t think some of them even cared to scan a human vehicle and just stayed with their old altmode even on earth (Blastrain, Sky Gallop, Deep Bite (his altmode still would look animalistic as hell tho), Speranza crew)
Their windows are always tinted, even the front
EYE THINGIES ON FRONT WINDOW (all have it, a projections to better emote)
Very expressive even in alt mode
Have no mouths, there’s nothing like a mouth under the battle mask
Optic color can be changed through a simple medical procedure, means nothing really
There’s no specific organ that lets them transform rather its in their whole body (we have so much shit that makes us walk, not one specific organ)
Wings, cranes and other thin shit on the frame is more sensitive, cus the CV are closer to the surface
Can’t open the charge core chamber, if breached and not closed the charge will fizzle out very quickly, but injuries to charge veins are not lethal (they are very deep and small) usually they lead to the temporal paralysis ( mega ambler's things work the same)
Usually smaller than cybertronians (4-6 meters usually, some are just fucking big (Black hook is a boat but its a tiny ass boat, Heavy Iron was made like that for funsies), some are bigger cus of their frame types (Blasttrain and Sky Gallop))
Metal card can be used even in alt mode
Only one alt form, no triple-cadruple-sixtruple changers (triple changer is like a fantasy, their Spiderman would have it)
Vehicle only alt modes, no monkeys, guns or boomboxes
If an injury is sparking and leaking than its very very fucking bad and you need to go to a doctor NOW
They generally produce much less noise (fans are quiet, electrical inside are not noisy)
Frame types: car (Blue Cop), flight (Cielo, Shadow X), water related (Black Hook (YES HE IS A FLYING BOAT, BUT BOAT NON THE LESS), Deep Bite), other weird wheels (Rock Crush, Blastrain)
Yes there many sub frame types, but its mostly just civilian-small, standard, bigger transportation, giant guy. OWW has different sub types (car different wheels (tank), weird land vehicle metal wheels (trams and trains), something else construction vehicle (Rock Crush) )
OWW are rare
Animal traits are very rare, its a mutation
No claws, maximum is pointy fingers (exception Deep Bite)
FUCKING HATS. They are born with them (I mean not everyone, but it’s not rare). They are held down with small magnets
Are more common in ground frame than in any other (ground, oww, fly, water)
Something getting stuck on frame like a little magnet is okay, but too much of it and you can get sick
They can absorb gas fuel through their fans but its not very effective
THEY HAVE PORES IN THEIR MASKS TO ABSORB OTHER FUEL (they can taste)
Optics are very fragile and can break easily from underwater pressure (water frames are an exception).
water frames have generally sturdier optics, there is an additional layer of protective glass above the led.
Said additional layer can be installed manually (Phoenix Fire has it cus of his job (he has a lot of mods I think))
Are cooler in general (electricity produces less heat)
If they are damaged severely in their rout mode they cant transform (no hand/leg = impartial car that's missing something most likely vital)
The funny ahh guys who are kinda combiners but not really (Flame Nova, Blue Cop Trinity, Blastrain)
Flame Nova and Blastrain were supposedly born like that (not sure about FN) so when they are combined they should feel everything with their outer layer (touches, damage, em fields)
BC wasn’t born with Loader and Commander so when he’s combined he can’t exactly feel anything beyond severe damage and touches (but only cus he knows someone’s touching him)
Can I just make it very fucking individual? They all have different things regarding the combination ( it can be inborn or acquired through fucking magic or through illegal means (???), but it would be different for all of them)
Different fuels taste very different (methane is delicious kinda sweet, gasoline is basic a bit salty (potato), diesel is similar but fruity (???))
Energon and its variants taste like different acid/energy drinks with a fucked up electric aftertaste, bitter, leaves you sick but wanting more
Cardbots have a very diverse diet. Its advisable to consume 2 different types of fuel a day ( usually electricity and smt else)
The taste of the fuels can vary depending on the manufacturer and brand (‘ Coca Coalla’s diesel is weird, I like Fuelnta more its sweeter’ “Dude, Fuelnta is so poorly filtered, your pores have tiny pieces of minerals after you drink it”)
Energon is like a fucked energy drink for them. If they drink it they are going to run on walls for hours at best (at worst they will run around in circles for an entire day, their mind hazed and crazy, and they’ll get an incredible stomachache after all of that)
Cardbots have an organ for converting fuel to the vicious green liquid (I hate it. there's no reason for its existence(VICIOUS GREEN NO MORE)). Different fuels have different processing time (electricity is the fastest, straight to the core)
Energon is very energy dense compared to other fuels, so it's processing is kinda weird (the organ is working at max % with evey other fuel cus efficiency and it would take very long otherwise, but energon slips through it with such speed that the entire fps** can be fucked from it)
Imagine dropping a glass of liquid high concentration fuel into a wood oven
No charge pulse, constant buzzing instead (you cant hear it from all the plating around it) cannot be tracked by cybertronian tracking devices
They’re denser. Can be tossed around without getting any serious dents for much longer than cybertronians
Cultural (kinda) hc :
Electricity expelled through body (spark and little charges) is explained next
electricity expelled through body right next to someone is a horny kinda gesture
if you nuzzle someone and let out a spark of electricity, it will deepen the kiss and considerate a romantic gesture
you ate too much, if its continuing for more than a day than its a health problem related to fuel to energy transition or its an equivalent of a fever (mostly likely the fever)
Gender is expressed mostly only through pronounce
Optic color can be changed quiet easily, but due to optic’s construction it will be one solid color. Dark colors are not used at all.
Wingspeak is known by all flight frames from birth ( flight frame with autism will not know it sry)
Brighter optics = good mood, dim optics = bad mood or a health issue
SLEEP PILE SLEEP PILE SLEEP PILE, warmer bots sink, you know a guy for 1 one day and you now can sleep in a pile (not considerate horny at all). Usually sleep like that in rout mode, alt mode is less comfortable for a sleep pile
Names consist of two words or two roots or a word and a letter (Blue Cop, Blasttrain, Shadow X). The last one is rare and new (like giving your kid a fancy new name)
Something something magnetism and em stuff is very weird and they are very sensitive to it. (Em storm will give them strong migraines or make them horny idk yet)
No spark bonds or anything close to them
They sulk in their altmode (a car sitting in a dark garage is a sad giant robot)
Its harder to notice their fans are working (aka blushing)
They have shallow soup plates with for exmp gasoline and they dip their face mask in it and it slowly gets absorbed
If its gas fuel maybe its like a bong???
Cords and wires are mostly associated with internal organs and thus are kinda gross
Seeing cybertronian's medical ports and cables is very weird and gross
There’s deffinetly something like old English (Sky Gallop speaks with fucking thee thy and thou s)
Red Blitz’ name from Sky Gallop sounded like Crimson Flash (???)
That means that their language was changing rather rapidly (kinda like English) if the old version is still around, but the major changes occurred long ago enough that most people who speak it are either old Knights (Sky Gallop) or some high old caste (also Sky Gallop)
Maybe im making baseless assumptions based off of one character
DEUS MACHINA IS A GINORMOUS BALL OF ELECTRICITY THAT USES A COMPUTER AS A SHELL
CC is a parallel to Deus in a way ( the essence of a person is in a ball of electricity that is in protective shell / the essence of a God/Creator/Planet is a ginormous ball of electricity in a protective shell/computer)
The computer itself is just a shell, without it Deus will be absolutely incomprehensible for cardbots (they will receive every em signal that Deus consists of and just BOOM). I think that if you stood infront of itself with no shell you would understand everything She wants to say but also absolutely nothing because of the way Deus is constructed
I have a scene of Blue Cop floating in front of Deus in Her core. She doesn’t say anything but hundreds and thousands of meanings of Her words are in his processor. She cares about her creations but she knows they will never comprehend Her real form so she just sticks to the giant computer in the core of Machina.
Since Her shell is a computer it needs service. Every service bot of Hers is also a religious figure
I think her presence would stretch for miles, washing everything in Her em signals and Her electricity. Deus is omnipresent without Her shell. When Machina was blown up everyone had sensed Her. Her dying spirit. Her presence. Her emotions.
She has desmos music vibes
ELECTRICITY SYMBOLISM in visual art
A spark or a bolt between 2 bots is romantic, meaning close intimacy
A ball with sparks around it is a religious thing. Has a caring, kind, all-knowing undertone to it
Half a ball with sparks is also religious. Has an omnipresent, all-knowing, always watching undertone, used rarely. Mostly used in religious texts and paintings/posters
A lot of thin bolts of electricity around someone = pain, sickness, punishment for greed (if the sparks are closer to beak)
2-3 sparks around beak = good taste, awesome fuel, hearty meal
CN structure = insides, strong but thin and curvy, weasy
Im gonna reread it later and think 'bruh what was i on'
Cardbots generally deal with loneliness worse. And they all at least for some time were alone when they landed on earth (their save capsules/podes are for 1 person) so they do appreciate the company more. S1 group is especially clingy in their sleep pile cus no one wants to lose anyone again (its a bit denser than a normal one) even Heavy Iron couldn't sleep alone for very long. And they are generally more sociable than cybertronians I think.
Number 1 psychological issue is abandonment issues/anxiety
Smaller bots sleep curled up, the bigger the bot the more they spread out ( HI is 🧍♂️ while BC is 🧶)
The single-colored optic (exm Heavy Iron) is an intimidation tactic. Though can be turned on instinctively if the bot isn’t thinking straight (BC high on energon, Flash&Bit bros with the metal from s2)
#metal cardbot#i regret nothing#i think#sry if there's any russian words left i dont wanna look for them now#robot insanity

don't really have much for a caption but i do have batshit insane rambling and more art under the cut
hardware capable of temporarily. read: TEMPORARILY. substituting for the central core to minimize downtime during maintenance
got wiped like 7 different times because he kept questioning his existence until they finally encrypted his imprint so much they had him asking how to use a doorknob
dual core processor equivalent to a PowerPC 970, capable of clocking up to 2.7 GHz for intensive tasks
always looking for """vintage""" computer parts in the hopes that they could be a compatible upgrade, like more RAM for his beautiful big brain ideas (wrong)
stole a network card out of a scientist's computer as a prank once he remembered humor. forgot to put it back and constantly tortures everyone else with his wifi capability
205X specific :
i don't think anyone is exactly jumping for joy at the words "open heart surgery." Especially not when it's you... on a table... alone with a light and a scalpel.
lights are dimmer for power conservation (dogshit battery)
processing power is also reduced unless necessary for hacking
low power mode has a dual purpose; conservation of battery power as well as keeping temperatures low to prevent overheating (huge headache + lots of broken parts)
clear coat has long eroded due to weathering + gel exposure during chamber maintenance
loss of coolant is nearly a death sentence for him and anyone involved due to the particular chemical mixture being difficult to find + reproduce (insanely hazardous to touch or breathe the fumes of)
yeah his radiator is probably rusted over but he's not touching that. it hasn't completely plugged itself so who cares (not him)
built like an old ass car, completely made of metal and doesn't crumple when impacted, leading to... lots of dents and shaken internals. nokia 3310 headass. he couldn't be assed to go through the cosmetic surgery that is fixing one of the newer models after a little fall (unless they're a patient of course)
on a related note, virgil is the robot equivalent of a beater car with the check engine light on and probably 6 other lights on, the underside is completely rusted out and the tires are bald. but it still runs so whatever, drive it into the ground buddy. he genuinely refuses to perform any work on himself unless its something critical. boo hoo nobody cares about some sensors and --- ah. temperature sensor.
i think
that can wait a little longer.

Shooting Stars
Since breaking into K.S.I, more questions than answers were being raised. It seemed like things were becoming more unclear, than they originally were. And in the midst of all the chaos, the secret (or not so secret) romance between you and Optimus begun to build. With your heart and his Spark, yearning for one another. The pair of you slowly got to a point, where you could only resist temptation for so long...
Content: Course Language. Events takes place in Transformers- Age of Extinction (no spoilers.) Fluff followed by NSFW smut. (This chapter is basically pure smut, as my head has been in the gutter for the past week.) Optimus Prime x F/Human reader.
Inspired by the song: Airplanes- B.O.B
Word Count: 2,800.
Sparkmate Series: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 6 Part 7 (End)
Two Days Later
With the nights growing colder, the thin blankets that Cade found only did so much. The stained-glass windows of the cathedral no longer seemed beautiful- but more of an annoyance, as the chill air would sweep through the cracked glass.
And in addiction of Cade's snoring, sleep seemed impossible to come. A heavy sigh escaped your lips, eyes rolling a little as you grew bored of staring up at the ceiling, for who knows how long by now.
Sitting up and rubbing your temples, trying to allow your eyes to adjust to the dimly lit darkness. As you carefully exited out of your sleeping bag, trying to disturb the others as little as possible. Hands running along the cold brick walls, while you made your way towards the main hall.
Nerves crawled up your back, as a low rumble echoed through the main hall. Your breath hitching slightly with each step, stopping whenever the low rumble slightly peeked in volume. Moonlight lazily shined through the windows, as the overcast sky slowly cleared.
It’s just Hound. Your thoughts assured, while a suttle sigh of relief left your lungs.
The muscles in your body slightly relaxing, as the sight of the Autobot snoring away teased a smile upon your lips. Tip-toing towards the makeshift table and quietly making a protein shake. A steady breath returned to you, as the dim darkness soon grew on you, making your surroundings somewhat more comfortable.
While taking a few sips from the drink, your head tilted to the side a little, as a familiar shadow fell across the table from outside. Curiosity stirred your thoughts, causing your body to carefully tread towards a large hole in the wall.
“I thought it might have been you.”
Optimus’ optics fell onto you, a small smile spreading across his faceplate. Watching you carefully climb over the lose bricks, with your drink in hand. You approached the mechanical giant, as he sat upon the ground. Leaning against the solid wall of the cathedral.
He felt your eyes study his features, “are you alright, Optimus? You look tired.”
“I’ll be alright, Sweet Spark.” His soothing voice assured, “you do not need to worry about me.-”
“But I do, Optimus.” You shyly admitted, walking towards the gazebo, that still had string lights and fairy lights surrounding it. “Especially what you said earlier.”
You watched his optics quickly avoid your questioning gaze. His helm lowering slightly, as guilt played on his processors and slightly squeezed his Spark. You wasn’t supposed to hear that...
“’What did you mean? ‘You’re done fighting for humans.’ You didn’t mean that... did you?”
“Y/N...” Optimus sighed, hesitating before looking back at you. “How many more of my kind must be sacrificed to atone for your mistakes?”
“What do you think ‘being human’ means?” you questioned. Another arrow of guilt struck Optimus’ core, as his audio receivers detected the underlying hurt within your voice. “That’s what we do, we make mistakes. But sometimes the most amazing things comes from those mistakes.”
You softly bit your bottom lip, fingers playing with the cup as you took a moment.
“When I fixed you... it was for a reward.” The words tasted like poison upon your tounge, as regret slowly squeezed your heart. But at the same time, a sensation of relief washed over you. Like a long bottled-up secret could finally break free. “That was it. That was the only reason why. For the money.”
Optimus slowly turned his attention back onto you, his expression softening as his optics watched a single tear roll down your cheek.
“And that was me making a mistake. But without it, you wouldn’t be here. We wouldn’t be here.”
Reaching out for him, a slight ease relaxed your aching heart as Optimus still welcomed your touch. A loving sigh escaping him, as your delicate fingers ran the back of his servo.
“So... even if you have no faith in us, all I’m asking is you do what Dad taught me and Tessa. Look past all the junk and see the treasures.” Your hand ran up towards his wrist, gently pulling out your iron ring from under his metal plates. “You need to have faith, Prime, in who we can be.”
Optimus’ free servo curled into a relaxed fist, gently using the knuckle of his index digit to brush away a tear from your cheek. His touch feathered down your body, fingertips tracing each and every curve which the Autobot has now memorized. Carefully wrapping it around your waist, picking you up and bringing you closer to his height.
You were just about to say something, but Optimus’ lips lightly pressed against your own. Giving you a passionate kiss, as both closed your eyes, melting into each other's embrace. The cup slipped from your hand, landing upon the ground with a small shatter, while you wrapped both arms around the Autobot’s neck.
“Forgive me, my Sweet Spark.” Optimus pleaded, his kiss trailing down your neck.
“I-I just don’t want to lose you.” you turned your head to the side, giving him more room to kiss your neck.
“You could never lose me-”
The sound of an airplane's engine roared above, causing Optimus to briefly break away. As you both looked up at the night sky, seeing the lights from the metal wings.
“If only wishes could be made upon airplanes, like we do with shooting stars.” You sighed. Only to chuckle a little, that sounded a little corny.
“Why? What would you wish for?”
Your eyes returned to Optimus’ optics, “that we could have a moment of peace, with no interruptions. Just... Just us two being alone.”
“Well... we’re alone now.” The Autobot spoke, the small spark of desire zapping within his core. Causing his processors to stir his mind towards temptation. His thumb gently rubbing small circles upon your lower back.
A flirtatious smile teased the corners of your lips, “then... perhaps we should make the most of it.”
Without hesitation, Optimus’ lips returned to yours. As he carefully laid you upon the curved roof of the gazebo, his free servo trailing down towards the waist band of your PJ bottoms.
“I’ll start slow.” He promised, briefly allowing his lips to part from yours. “If I ever get too much. Please tell me, Sweet Spark.”
You silently nodded, as a small shade of pink dusted your cheeks.
Bringing both servos towards your thighs, massaging the muscles. While he placed passionate kisses along your neck, towards your collarbone. Butterflies disburse in your stomach, as a warming amber begun to flicker within your core.
Hearing your soft moans against his audio processors, heat begun to rise beneath Optimus’ metal plates. The fans in his vents barely able to keep his temperature at bay.
A low sigh escaped your lips, as Optimus’ glossa traced the curves of your cleavage. A shy smile teasing the corners of your mouth, as a satisfied hum rumbled deep within his throat. Hands embracing his helm, as Optimus’ mouth danced over your clothed breasts, softly biting through the fabric, leaving suttle bite marks upon your skin.
“Optimus...”
Your torso rolled and moved against his mouth. Hands exploring the worn parts of his helm, caressing his old battle scars. Your eyes closed, as your head gently rested against the gazebo’s roof.
Your breath hitched slightly, as Optimus’ placed a last kiss upon your hip. The small ambers within your core slowly rolled into a warm flame, once your eyes met his loving gaze. His hands cupping your ass, occasionally giving it a cheeky squeeze, as the desire pulsing through his Spark tore away the remaining pieces of his self-control.
“Don’t stop.” You encouraged, seeing the lust glossing over his optics.
A shaky breath leaving his lips, as you ran your hands towards your clothed core. Feeling Optimus’ digits twitch, as you opened your legs, causing the Autobot to fall onto his knees. His glossa licking his bottom lip, breath hitching as you slowly tugged your bottoms down your hips.
The scent of your arousal drove Optimus into a spin, a burning desire of want pulsing through his wires, as his beating Spark cried for satisfaction.
Sh-She smells so good. His processors teased.
“Th-These... are in the way.” Optimus lowly spoke, his servo’s gently tugging the waistband of your bottoms down a little more.
“Remove them then.”
A breathless gasp escaped you, as the Autobot tore away the clothing along with your laced undergarments. The sound of the tearing fabric leaving your body made your soaked core clench around nothing. As Optimus carelessly threw the items aside, burying his faceplate between your thighs before the clothes could even reach the ground.
Muffled whimpers tried to leave you, as you bit your bottom lip. Body quivering and legs trembling, as Optimus’ glossa caressed your folds. His servos returning to your thighs, gently placing your legs over his shoulders. Before using one of his servos to tease your wet, throbbing entrance.
Your back arched against the roof, a moan slipping from your mouth, as Optimus’ middle digit slowly entered your sweet spot. The satisfied growl coming from the back of the Autobot’s throat, rippled against your skin. His lips tenderly kissing tangled the nerves of your clit, as his digit pushed more into your depth. Your soaked core relaxing, as his servo gently rocked against you. Ripping more muffled whimpers and whines from you, with each plunge of his digit.
Electric volts raced through Optimus’ wires, as fireworks burst within his Spark. His engine revving, low moans rumbling within his throat, as his optics looked up at you. A smile forming upon his lips, as he witnessed the hot mess you slowly tuned into.
“You’re so wet, my darling.” His voice cooed, “you’re practically dripping down me. Perhaps, I should clean you up.”
Before words could form a question, a moan slipped from your lips as Optimus’ servo retreated from your core. Eyes widening, as his mouth kissed and sucked upon the glistening folds of your entrance. Your nails digging into his helm, scratching the navy-blue paint, as his glossa plunged into you without hesitation.
“Optimus! Optimus!”
His free servo quickly clasped against your mouth, muffling the whines of his name. A speechless command for quiet, as his passionate assault upon your soft spot didn’t ease.
Your eyes rolled shut, arching your back and melting into the heated moment. As your legs spread a little more, giving Optimus more space to push his lips against you. Allowing his glossa to go deeper into your wet depths.
His free servo slipped under the hem of your shirt, cupping and foundling with your breast. As the other trailed down, resting upon your neck. The tightening of your pussy around Optimus’ glossa, made his Spark begging for more.
You were unlike anything he’d ever had. How your soft, organic body molded just oh so perfectly, against his servos and faceplate. The sweet essence of your soaked core, dripping down his glossa- providing a taste that made the Prime wonder how he ever lived this long without it. The sound of your voice moaning his name felt like a beautiful melody to him. A sirens song that you sang only for him.
Your eyes fluttered open, as a breathless gasp slipped from your mouth. Biting your bottom slip, while another moan of Optimus’ name bubbled in your throat. Heat erupted in your core, a burning fire of desire warming your body, as an ache built up between your legs. Your hips rocking against Optimus’ faceplate, as nerves tangled together within your lower adomiain. A wave of pleasure building up, as the Autobot devoured your wet pussy. His glossa gliding in and out of your soaked entrance, lathering up your essence upon his glossa, like he had been stranded in a desert for days. And your body was the oasis, which held the key to a lifesaving nectar.
“Oh...” you whined, as Optimus pulled away, causing your hand to slip down by your sides again. The wave of pleasure slowly settling down, as the fire within your core caused an ache. His servo retreating from underneath your shirt.
“Forgive me, Sweet Spark.” He lowly spoke, wiping your glistening essence off his mouth and chin. Using the back of his servo, “but I need some... relief of my own.”
His servo’s gently caressed your lower back, cradling your soft body as he picked you up. Bringing you closer to him, as Optimus shifted into a standing position.
Your blush radiating a little more warmth upon your cheeks, as your eyes lowered to his modesty plate. Biting your lip a little, as the metal buckled from some hidden pressure behind it.
Optimus’ low groans caught brought your attention back, noticing that the Autobot had trouble stepping over the fence which was on the left side of the of the courtyard. The fence divided the courtyard of the abandoned cathedral, and the community pool next door.
Sitting down upon the overgrown grass, you straddled Optimus’ lap as he bent down and cupped your face. Placing soft, delicate kiss upon the top of your head and forehead. You could feel his modesty buckling more beneath you, as you grinded against the surprisingly light metal.
“Be mine, my love.” His breathless plea brushed against your ear. Causing the fire in your core to burst, as Optimus’ Spark pulsed through his wires, “spend one night with this Prime, and I swear you’ll never want to love another.”
Your hand caressed his cheek, as a loving sigh escaped your lips. “You already make feel like I don’t want another, Optimus Prime. For it’s you who has my heart- my whole heart.”
You slightly adjusted your position, as Optimus removed his modesty plate. Eyes widening as you admired the size of his spike, the flickering flames within your core burned into a heat of want. A fire matching Optimus’ electric pulses of desire.
Positioning himself near your close, using the tip of his spike to tease your throbbing entrance. Servo’s trailing down your torso, feeling every delicate curve as his palms rested against your outer thighs. His digits caressing the soft skin of your ass.
A moan slipping from you, as his spike slipped into your soaking core. Your hands sliding from his faceplate, and onto his chassis. Gripping onto his chest plate, as your velvety walls felt every ribbed inch that Optimus gently thrusted into you.
Optimus’ helm slowly tilted back, as his optics rolled shut. His engine purring, his Spark pulsing, vents cooling as he began to thrust into you. Cables tightened throughout his body, as the sensation of your essence dripping down him, sent Optimus’ processors into a spin. His scanners picking up your racing heart, as his Spark matched its rhythm. A knot begun to tighten deep within your core, as your body adjusted to the Autobot’s size.
Your features flushed red, breasts bouncing with each thrust as you leaned forwards. The water reflecting off the outdoor pool, made the sweat upon your body glimmer slightly, as it dripped down your neck and back. Hair sticking to you, as your forehead rested against Optimus’ chassis, low whimpers and moans leaving your lips, as his hips picked up rhythm.
“Primus! You’re so tight! So wet!”
His digits begun to clench your ass, causing a low hiss to slip from you. Biting your bottom lip, trying to stop a scream of pleasure escape you. As you bounced and grind against his spike, never feeling so stretched yet so full at the same time. Knowing fair well that this mechanical God of a man, has absolutely ruined you. Optimus’ spike plunged into your soaked core, each thrust hitting your cervix harder and harder. Teasing the knot behind it, to come undone.
“Y-You feel so good-”
“Shut up and fuck me!”
A satisfied growl rumbled deep within Optimus’ throat, your breathless command making the pulsing electricity within him, burst like fireworks. His optics fluttering open, as he tried to blink away the lust that glossed over his vision.
“Your body was made for my love, Sweet Spark.” Gripping tightly upon your ass, making your body bounce harder against him. Pushing your hips down and meeting his, the tip of his spike slapping against your g-spot.
“O-Optimus... Optimus!”
Your grip upon his chassis tightened, as the knot in your core caused your legs to quiver. The rocking and thrusting of your hips, turning into an unforgiving pace, as your wave of pleasure began to build. Cables tightened inside Optimus’ body, as his body prepared for an upcoming overload.
“Oh! Oh, fuck.”
A breathless gasp escaped Optimus’, as your soaked core tightened around his throbbing spike. Your body falling against his chassis, as the warm feeling of his trans-fluids painted your insides. His sticky fluid, and your glistening essence covering your thighs and his.
A small whimper left your lips, as Optimus carefully lifted you off his spike. Your heavy breathes fogging up his chassis, as your fingers scratched a little more of his blue paint off. Eyes fluttering, your body slumping against him, as it felt like all the energy and strength was taken from your body. Barely able to lift your head, as you gave the Autobot a contented smile. His vents working overtime, trying to cool down the warmth that radiated from his body.
Cradling you against him, Optimus carefully shuffled towards the pool. Lowering himself into the water, making sure that the level only came to your waist. Both happily sighing as the cool water, felt refreshing against your warm bodies.
“This... feels nice.” Your tone was sleepy, as your head rested against his chest.
“It does.” Optimus placed a soft kiss upon the top of your head. His free servo grabbing a nearby towel, dragging it into the water, and wrapping it around your waist. Giving you a little bit of modesty. “Rest, my Sweet Spark. For I shall watch over you.”
“I love you, Optimus Prime.”
“And I you, Y/N Yeager.”

OH DANG it’s food time again! Here’s my go-to jelly recipe for using rose hips. Apples lend natural pectin so you don’t have to add any powders, plus they bulk up the recipe without taking away from the taste of the rose hips. Here’s how we do:
Ingredients:
• 500 g (about 1 lb) apples*
• 220 g (about 1/2 lb) rose hips
• 250 g (about 9 oz) cane sugar
• Juice of 1/2 a lemon
Instructions:
1. Clean your rose hips, making sure to get rid of as many of the seeds and hairs as possible. You do NOT want a mouthful of those dadblamed hairs. Pulse them in a blender or food processor until slightly mushy.
2. Clean and cut your apples into quarters. No worries about the skin and core – that adds the natural pectin we need in this recipe and we’re straining them out, anyway!
3. Toss the apples into a large saucepan and cover with water, until it’s about an inch over the apples. Bring to a boil, and cook until nice and tender.
4. Add the rosehips. Reduce heat and simmer for ten minutes. Turn off the heat and let cool for a bit.
5. Strain the mix using a cheesecloth or jelly bag. Don’t use a sieve, it’s not fine enough to catch all the bits. Leave the mix to strain a few hours or overnight.
6. Add your strained liquid to a clean saucepan with the sugar** and lemon juice. Dissolve the sugar slowly over medium heat.
7. Once the sugar is dissolved, bring your mixture to a boil until it reaches the set point (220°F / 105°C). (If you don’t have a candy thermometer, use the saucer test or spoon test methods to check for doneness.)
8. Let your jelly cool before pouring it into sterilized jars.*** Process in a water bath if canning, or store in the fridge for up to 6 months.
*Any variety of apple with a nice combo of sweet and tart will work.
**You may need more or less sugar depending on how much liquid you end up with. You want at least an equal ratio!
***Makes about two 8 oz jelly jars.
#rose hips#apples#recipes#wild food#foraging#jelly#this jelly tastes awesome on biscuits and scones of course#but it tastes AMAZING with cheese on a sharkcoochie board#or as a base in a marinade/glaze for meats

How to Play The Sims 1 on Windows 11
Recently, I've been rebuilding my collections of The Sims 2 and The Sims 3. I used to have the discs when I was a kid, but I lost them, and now I don’t have a computer that can read DVDs. After acquiring The Sims 2 Complete Collection and gradually adding to my Sims 3 collection through Steam, I started thinking about The Sims 1.
The last time I played The Sims 1 was when I was 6 years old. When I tried to download the game again to relive my childhood nostalgia, I was using a Windows 10 machine. Unfortunately, that experience was a complete disaster, as the game wouldn't even let me select a household! It was bugged and unplayable. Now that I'm trying it again on a Windows 11 computer, I approached it with low expectations—until I stumbled upon something magical.
I discovered a GitHub repository that provides an all-in-one installation of The Sims 1, eliminating the need to install patches or edit graphics files. With that in mind, let me guide you through the process of installing The Sims 1 on a Windows 11 computer. To install The Sims 1 on a Windows machine in 2024, simply follow these straightforward steps. You won’t need to enter any keys, edit scripts, or perform any manual tasks.
Please know that this is how I installed The Sims 1 on my computer. I've gotten no crashes or bugs from this method, and my game runs smoothly. My computer specs are:
System Model: ASUS TUF Gaming A15 Laptop
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics, 2900 MHz, 8 Cores, 16 Logical Processors
RAM: 32 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060
Step 1: Download Installer
Download the The Sims 1 Starter Pack Web Installer. Alternative link can be found here.
Step 2: Run Installation
Run the TS1StarterPack-WebInstaller.exe and follow the instructions. If you get a Windows protection notification, select the option to "Run Anyway". Windows does this to protect us from unknown executables, but this one is fine.
Enable all of the components. This includes all the patches you will need to make your game full-screen and compatible with your system.
Select the folder you want to install it in.
Wait for the installation to finish.
Step 3: Run The WideScreen Patch
During your installation, a popup will display asking you to choose your resolution. If this popup hasn't shown, you can find it in your E:\The Sims 1 Starter Pack directory as Sims1WidescreenPatcher.exe.
From this, choose your screen's aspect ratio and resolution, and set the “Wrapper” dropdown to DDrawCompat.
Click “Patch.”
If asked to enable “Borderless Fullscreen” mode, click Yes.
Close the patcher once it has finished patching the game.
Step 4: Run The Game & Have Fun!
And that is IT. Now you can run the Sims.exe program and the game should run.
If your screen size is weird, just run the patcher again.
Now you can start playing the game and rediscover that old-school nostalgia of having fun!
Conclusion
I hope this guide has been helpful! If it has, feel free to let me know in the comments below. Additionally, I have a blog where I detail the mods I use for The Sims, including instructions on where to place them. If you're interested, you can check that out here.

Sexiest Podcast Character 2024 — Scripted Redemption Bracket — Round 2
Propaganda
Seth (Lost Terminal):
Seth is a cute disembodied ai located on a satellite called Station 6 orbiting a earth that has gone through major climate changes (Like, the Mediterranean Sea became incredibly salty lakes and Antarctica's snow has melted, leaving only rocky terrain type of major climate change). He was created when original crew realized they can't complete the mission as ground control had ghosted them + supplies are dwindling so a computer scientist(with the crew helping her out) created an artificial intelligence who can act as another crewmember, thus, making so the mission lasts indefinitely.
Jasper Moon (Badlands Cola):
He's a cult leader who's obsessed with dinosaurs. he sound like he's 1 slip away from saying UwU at all times. what's not to love?
Additional propaganda below the cut:
Seth (Lost Terminal):
He's so so lonely. The crew is unfortunately gone and Seth has them stored in a room for the last like, 18+ years. Season one is just Seth rambling about himself and his situation via sending out transmissions from the satellite in the hopes that someone may pick up on his transmissions. One of his main goals is to make more friends.
The act of sending out transmissions eats away at his limited power source. So much power that Seth admits that he would've have a lot more time of he didn't send out any transmissions but he so firmly believes that there's someone listening even though no one has responded ever so he continues to send transmissions.
His dumbass once tried to save energy but foregoing pressuring the rooms in the station only to accidentally basically cut his brain off of oxygen as the cooling fans were unable to cool down his system without air. Don't worry he was fine and had learned his lesson
He has three robot maintenance kids who help him move stuff around the satellite. Names are Matt, Matts, and Maddie! Their method of traveling is space is straight up how the cores in Portal move around, on railings!
When he was planning out his descent down to Earth (because all that transmissions had killed all of his power and now he has to get off the Station if he doesn't want to power down), he didn't think of any sort of backup plans if he was unable to talk with his voice (because he had a ai friend who was supposed to help him get down) and guess what happens when he crashed onto Earth? Yeah, he couldn't talk and Matt and Matts died on impact. Maddie survived. Seth also died on impact but don't worry, someone managed to recover his core processors and revived him
He didn't know that he died at first until he was told so and Seth get baby's first existential crisis about being which he handled wonderfully!
Random facts about him: Seth begins his transmissions with "Hello World". He chose his own voice over a number of options because at some point he liked using that voice more than the others. Its a running gag that he Does Not Like Salt. He calls the computer scientist his mother and he's such a momma's boy. There was a moment where he was called child of man and Seth interjected, say he was actually the child of woman. He's not really good with plants.
He's an overprotective parent. He slowly starts freaking out when his maintenance robot daughter goes outside for the first time when he had previously encouraged her to not be afraid of going outside, saying that she's too delicate to go outside and is about to have a breakdown when Maddie comes back. He's such massive hypocrite <3
There's a lot more to Seth but I think this is good enough propaganda to, at the very least, get people interested in Lost Terminal.

What is considered both a reasonable and maximum polycount for custom content hair and other types of custom content in The Sims 2 and does it depend on gaming specs? Also your work is great!
Thank you for taking the time to read it.
I, personally, use hair that is under 25K polys unless it's unique and cute. Anything over that is overboard and should get decimated. Any furniture or clothing over 10K is extreme for me.
As for specs, I'm inclined to believe that it's a game limitation, how powerful your computer specs are, and a secret third and fourth thing, your OS, and if you're a laptop user.
This OS talk is a side tangent, so bear with me:
Big disclaimer that this is all my opinion, not a factual piece. Don't take this as gospel and I'm far from an expert on operating softwares, computers, and CC for that matter. I went a little bit insane with the OS talk because you mentioned specs and this has been on my mind for a while 🥴
Every single time I've heard that someone installed TS2 on Linux, they are able to play on maximum settings with a BUNCH of CC for a long time and experience no pink soup or pink soup related crashing. I want to do my own research and play the same heavily detailed lot for the same amount of time on Windows and Linux and compare the differences as well as compare how they use resources differently. If I already did not have an attachment to Photoshop CC 2017, I would have made the switch by now.
Okay so Windows... I've played TS2 on my Asus laptop from 2020 and on my new desktop. Here's the spec difference
Laptop: Intel Core i7-9750H 6 Core Processor, 8 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (Windows 10)
Desktop: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Six-Core Processor, 16 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti (Windows 11)
My laptop was really good for it's time (I bought it in March 2020), but it was pink soup galore for any cluttered CC lot, even with all of the fixes and GRM edits. My current setup is a mish mosh of my bf's and ex's computer parts and it runs perfectly fine, but I do not play long enough to encounter pink soup. (I have a job and I mainly play to get CC previews these days.) If you noticed, both my CPU and GPU were made before my laptop was sold, and yet it still performs way better. Laptops with top of the line hardware will never be more powerful than PCs with even mid to high level hardware from 5 years ago. Don't forget that laptops will throttle performance to protect itself from overheating and causing damage.
There is also no difference between installing and playing the game on Windows 10 and Windows 11, except that you should absolutely uninstall OneDrive if you haven't already. There might be some issue if you install with discs, but I don't own the discs.
And as for Mac, I truly believe that Mac is the worst way to experience Sims 2. Between the Super Collection crap, not being able to use third party tools (SimPE, Hair Binner, any other .exe files made to run for Windows), and the file limit that really hits you hard if you download a bunch of CC that you can't merge anyway because CCMerger can't run on Mac. I should say I have never played Sims 2 on a Mac, but this is my opinion after reading about the struggles of other MacOS users online.
The point of this OS tangent? None, really. I'm not trying to persuade you to use Linux or stop using Mac, this is simply what I've noticed and my opinions on the matter. There's millions of variables I did not cover such as DXVK, texture sizes, difference in specs between each OS and user and many other things I am forgetting.
Feel free to correct, add on, extrapolate or whatever. If you have any thoughts, please comment, add it in reblogs, or tag me in your post. I'm very interested in the current topics about high polys, pink soup and big textures for this game.
#spell.txt#cc discussions#my opinion on macs wont change though#sorry mac users#only thing im qualified for in this discussion is my photoshop certificate lmao

🔥 The Gluttony Massacre (2125) 🔥
• In one of the largest anti-superhuman operations in history, 100 BULWARKS were deployed to stop Gluttony.
• She effortlessly dismantled them, using her overwhelming strength, speed, and soul absorption abilities.
• Within 15 minutes, every single BULWARK was destroyed, marking the largest recorded failure of the SPARTANS program.
Final Verdict:
The BULWARK is an unmatched force against B-A Rank superhumans, but it remains outclassed by higher-tier threats. While it is humanity’s best answer to superhuman warfare, its limitations against god-like opponents leave G.R.O.W. still searching for better solutions.

anyways here are my armored core 6 character design sketches
close ups under break
621 was completely catatonic just a human processor until it got back from watch point delta and the coral explosion woke it up, Ayre filled in the parts of its brain that had been lopped off. Walter gave it his old pilots jacket when it got back and was uncontrollably shaking from the neural overload of the Coral. When it woke up afterwards it spoke for the first time since the surgeries and asked if it could keep the jacket.

Cad Bane walking out of the desert into Mos Pelgo on Tatooine. Image from The Book of Boba Fett, Season 1, Episode 6, From the Desert Comes a Stranger. Calendar by DateWorks. Concept Art by Ryan Church.
Why? Why did Cad Bane have to show up again in conversation? Why was he the person from the Daimyo’s past that kept popping up like a sore thumb, or toe, or whatever? Why couldn’t it have been someone else? Someone who liked to cook? Or someone who liked to tell stories? But no. There he was. Metaphorically at least.
Yes, the Daimyo had been telling Din Djarin a story and he had used his relationship with Cad Bane to illustrate a point that the Mandalorian was supposed to take to heart, or understand, or just nod a long to. But that was not how Din Djarin understood metaphors and now he sending Grogu to fetch the med-droid because he was certain that ice water didn’t run in his veins and he wanted to prove it.
Grogu was going to refuse but Fennec told him it was easier to just go fetch the droid. Fennec was right. She was always right. Grogu wondered how she’d learned so much about everything, when she was so young? There were Din Djarin and Boba Fett and they barely seemed to know what time of day it was, while Fennec knew had invented the concept of ‘time of day’.
“Kid, I do know more than those two, but it’s because I spend my time wisely. I study everything and learn as much as I can and live each day as if it’s the last day of my enemies’ lives.”
She grinned at him as they both walked down to the recently renovated droid relaxation lounge. She had created the lounge after he had talked to her about the droids and mechs needing a break from time to time. The Mandalorian and the Daimyo had expected her to laugh at him and say the droids and mechs could rest when they were powered down, but Fennec had surprised them by embracing the concept of giving their bodies and processors a break from busy work. Productivity was up and grumbling about Administrator Shan was way down.
But he was still confused by her comment.
“Kid, in my line of work it pays to be present. To not be day dreaming or worrying or wasting time wondering who was the best bounty hunter, Jango Fett or Cad Bane. For my credits, it’s your dad. He managed to get you away from a heavily fortified facility and keep you over the last year or so. That’s pretty impressive. Plus, the other two are cold. Very cold. No one pays you when you’re cold like that.”
Fennec had a point. With both Cad Bane and Jango Fett being ‘one with the Force’ as the saying went, it was hard to form an opinion about how good would they each be at bounty hunting given today’s environment. Sure, the Daimyo had ended Bane fairly recently, and according to the Daimyo it had taken a Jedi to end his dad, but neither one of them were really collecting a bounty. Bane was acting like an enforcer for the Pyke Syndicate and as far as Grogu could tell, Jango Fett had the bad luck to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Those events really had nothing to do with being a bounty hunter.
A few minutes later they were with the droids and Grogu explained to the med-droid what his father wanted checked and the droid turned it’s head from side to side and said that Master Djarin would be unsatisfied with the result. As a human he had a normal human body temperature. If he had anything like ice running in his veins he either wouldn’t be human or he wouldn’t be a living human.
“The kid already knows that. Fett and Mando are arguing about who was the best bounty hunter. Fett picked his dad and Mando picked Bane and now they want to see who’s blood is colder.”
“As far as my data banks go, it is neither of those gentlemen mentioned. Based on the data I have access to from the Bounty Hunters Guild, the most accomplished bounty hunter was a human female named Gettir Dunn. She operated over the course of two hundred years in the Core worlds and then spent another hundred years in Western Reaches. She recovered bounties for over 100,000 individuals during that time frame. The recovered bounty has been calculated as being as much as 100,000,000 credits. It is recorded that when she had accumulated that wealth, she located a planet she liked, bought most of it, and built herself a palace.”
Grogu coo’d in surprise at that information. Who the heck could catch that many people and amass that sort of fortune? It seemed absurd.
“What planet did she retire on?”
Fennec was very interested and seemed to almost lean forward, causing the med-droid to take a step backwards.
“That data is not available in my data banks. I do not know if it was every recorded there or if it was erased before I came to work for master Jabba.”
“When did she last operate under that name?”
“According to my records the last bounty entry associated with her occurred in 213 BBY. I very much doubt that anyone who operated as a bounty hunter then is still living.”
The droid took another reflexive step back.
“Sure. Of course. Only so many impossible things can be accomplished in the same lifetime. Hey, kid. Let’s go feed the rancor. I’ve got some thinking to do and your dad and the Daimyo can come up with something else to argue about today. There’s no point telling them about the top bounty hunter. They’d never believe it.”
Grogu wasn’t sure that he believed it either, but he agreed with Fennec that it was a better day already when he wasn’t having to listen to anyone talk about Cad Bane.
